Enjoy eco-friendly shopping when the Buy Recycled Boutique opens for business one day only on Saturday, April 12, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Woodlands Earth Day Festival at The Woodlands High School, 6101 Research Forest Dr.
Closing the loop, the trunk show introduces the extraordinary quality and value of products made from recycled materials.From the studios of artisans and small manufacturers, the Boutique stocks a unique collection of glassware, decorator items, toys, jewelry, and practical products that are perfect for gift-giving. From sweater pets for little ones to eco-chic bags for teens and shaving kits for dads, every product has a story. A joint project of The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. and Community Associations of The Woodlands, the Buy Recycled Boutique makes it easy to consume with a conscience this holiday season! Since 1990, The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. has partnered with the
Community Associations of The Woodlands to observe global
Earth Day with a free community event. The Woodlands Earth Day
Festival demonstrates that one person CAN make a difference.
Providing the tools to make that difference, over 50 non-profit
organizations, schools, agencies and businesses share their
environmental message. Hands-on activities and booths feature
energy-saving technology, healthy solutions, earth-friendly
products, conservation tips and the diversity of nature.Traditional offerings include the Buy Recycled Boutique, family entertainment and an Ecology Carnival with free activities for kids.
