Who can apply: Entering High School Students through 12th
GREEN Student Ambassadors Mission: To provide high school students with volunteer and recognition opportunities in environmental stewardship and community education projects under the supervision of The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N.
Background: Since 1989, The Woodlands Grass Roots Environmental Education Network (TWG) has served as a steward in environmental education and recycling programs serving The Woodlands community. A 501(C) (3), non-profit organization initially known as The Woodlands Recycles, TWG has expanded its focus in recent years to provide a broad range of environmental education and resources for the community. TWG is an ongoing partner with Environmental Services Department of Community Associations of The Woodlands, sponsoring the Earth Day Festival, Walk in the Woods lecture series, Woodlands Landscaping Solutions, Buy Recycled Boutique and other events. Student Pledge:For school year 2008-2009, I pledge 20 hours of my time to TWG sponsored programs, and I will maintain a log of time spent.
