TWG Volunteer Opportunities (See the Calendar for dates, times, and locations)
- Adopt-a-Path Committee
- The Adopt-A-Path Committee is responsible for ensuring adequate participation in the quarterly Adopt-A-Path activity. Prior to each Adopt-A-Path event, the committee will publicize the event to the membership (and general public) using various methods. A request to RSVP will be encouraged. The committee will identify themes for the event to encourage participation.
- Green Award
- Recognizing the environmental contributions of individuals and businesses to our community.
- GREEN Student Ambassador Program
- Provides student volunteer opportunities with TWG and affiliated partners
on targeted community service and environmental education projects. Target
group includes 9-12th grade students, teachers, and counselors.
Students will assist with recycling events, Walk in the Woods programs, Earth Day, and other activities sponsored by TWG.

- Membership Committee
- The Membership Committee is responsible for retaining current members as well as increasing new membership. The Committee will focus on membership communication for two purposes; to ensure that the GREEN is offering programs of interest to the membership and to encourage members to volunteer for GREEN events. The Membership Committee will work with other executive committees to ensure adequate volunteer participation at GREEN events.
- Scholarship Program
- The Woodlands GREEN Scholarship Program provides cash scholarships each year for South Montgomery County high school seniors that exemplify a commitment to preserving the environment and who plan to continue their education or vocational training after graduation. - Website committee
- The website committee is for anyone willing and able to help maintain and improve our website as a means for disseminating information, encouraging membership, and facilitating on-going operations of The Woodlands GREEN. Previous webmaster experience is not a requirement, but experienced help will be greatly appreciated.
