Dr. Susan Heath, avian conservation biologist with Gulf Coast Bird Observatory!
Amazing flyers, hawks are strikingly beautiful. In a captivating display, the spectacle of hawk migration plays out on the Texas coast each fall when kettles of hawks and other raptors, numbering over 52,000, follow a topographic path--not so far from The Woodlands--to Smith Point on the Bolivar Peninsula. With stunning photography Dr. Heath will cover 20 species, revealing identifying characteristics, adaptations for survival and natural history.
Children and students welcome.
This event is free.
